Selfbeeld
Dis so wonderlik om hierdie twee lesings na te luister van dr Beeke op Sermonaudio. Dit stel net weer vanaand my oe reg, ek het so weg gedwaal. Wat 'n voorreg om na die boodskap te luister. Teaching children self esteem, 1 and 2
Ware selfbeeld le in Christus Jesus deur jou oe vas te bind aan Hom. Sonder Christus is ons indrukke van onsself hopeloos skeefgetrek. Hopeloos. Dis nie die ware prentjie nie. Staan geregverdig in Christus se teenwoordigheid. Net in Jesus Christus het ons 'n ware beeld van onsself.
Dis nie ons aksies of ons uiterlike nie. Dis wat in ons hart le.

Nog 'n Flerrie uittreksel - van werelde oorkant die maan
“Is jy man of muis?” “Mot of Magrietjie?” “Aanhouer wen”, “Wie nie waag, wen nie” ryg maar die spreuke in soos sy wil, nie een slaat haar wakker nie. Dis ‘n vreeslike ervaring om te weet jy kan ontsnap maar die bewegingsrede is so swak dat mens nie wil verander nie. Party noem dit aanhouding, ander se jy is ‘n gevangene of sommiges se plein reguit jy’s vasgeplak in sonde. Flerrie se dilemma le nie soseer in die sonde-doen afdeling nie. Sy wil eerder ‘n metamorfose ondergaan sonder om moeilikheid saam te sleep.
Wik en weeg, hierdie kant toe en daardie kant toe vir soveel jare al. Op ‘n dag wat sy dit die minste verwag gebeur dit toe. Dit was ‘n Woensdag. Nou,daar’s drie dae links en drie dae regs van Woensdag. As ‘n reel dink Flerrie nie aan Woensdag se patetiese posisie nie. Dit het egter nou waarde gekry – soort van ‘n mini-allegorie spesiaal vir haar. ‘n Niksseggende dag word die as waarom die res draai in Flerrie se lewe. Haar besluit is gemaak.
“’n Koei wat gaan le, vrek” tref dit haar. Dis sy hierdie. Op die televisie daai aand het ‘n vrou vertel hoe sy net wou gaan le soos ‘n doodgaan koei op haar plaas. Haar hele getroude lewe lank het sy en haar man skatryk kon boer. Topklas burgers van die dorp. Eenklaps is alles toe weg – geld, status, eiendom. Uit ondervinding van die plaaslewe het hierdie vrou besef sy moet iets doen om te oorleef. Die einde van die storie is dat sy ‘n suksesvolle besigheid kon step uit ou metaalstukke. Sy het pragtige blomme en ornamente daarvan gemaak en verkoop dit steeds. Nie alleen is hulle uiterlik geseen nie. Van binne het sy baie verander en nuwe genietinge ontdek.
Gou het Flerrie haar losgeknip van lostong-vriendinne. Geen rouers en klaers vir tee nie, dankie. Facebook vriende se grappies wat Flerrie “g-g-g” laat maak blok sy nou. Grappies moet sterk wees, baie dinamiet in die vuurpyl. Skiet hy af dan fluit dit die hemelruim in en kom die verskriklikste lekkerste lag. Dit ruk en druk sensasioneel tot sy wens dit stop en uiteindelik dan voel Flerrie se lyf so vry.
Haar naels het amper een sentimeter lank gegroei. Geen kat urine of duur botteltjie naellak verf sy meer aan haar naels nie. Daarsonder kom sy klaar, dankie. Vaal muishaartjies is peperrooi gekleur. Almal dink sy is pragtig. Trippel trappe deesdae op dun tien sentimeter hakkies sonder om ‘n gram ekstra vet te dra. Die lewe is mooi. Selfs gooi Flerrie ietsie in vir die verstoorde boemelaar voor die woonstelblok en doen hartlik liefdadigheid vir Japsnoet kindertehuis so paar blokke weg.
Dis toe diewe haar kaste kom uitgrawe dat sy op die laagste punt was voor die ontluiking. Met die laaste inbreek sessie kon sy skoonmaak na die tyd en selfs in die hof getuig. Sy is versigtig maar glad nie meer manies nie. Voorheen het sy haar oe uitgehuil van bangheid as sy die lig afsit om te slaap. Deesdae prop sy ‘n klein elektriese kersie in wat deur die nag vrolik brand as sy spontaan reis na werelde buite grense.

'n Sekere droogskoonmakery adverteer hulself deur sakke aan deurknoppe te hang. As jy van hul dienste gebruik maak dan kom haal hulle jou wasgoed en laai dit weer af sodra dit klaar is, "gratis". Duidelik het die seuns ander planne vir die seilsak.
Saterdag skaats
Dis Saterdag 18 Februarie. Wat 'n gebeurtelike dag. Wella verjaar!! Baie geluk sus.
Mark vlieg Frankfurt toe. Ek moes 'n tjek drie keer oorskryf en toe opgee sodat die kasier dit invul. Die seuns het 'n klomp maats wat 'n hond uit 'n bos kuier. So teen half nege vanaand was daar 6 om die tafel vir "ete". Die huis is darem nou stil so net voor 11. Hier is fotos van vanmiddag en vanaand. Tim, Nathan en Andre. En dan Conner en Michael. Die twee hou baie van mekaar se geselskap. Conner is 'n goeie hokkiespeler en leer Michael baie "tricks". Hy het tot Michael se stok vanaand "getape".

Let wel, die gedig is binnen 5 minute geskryf. Hy wil dit nie "publiseer" nie, hy het nie kans gehad om dit te redigeer nie. Hierdie is dus 'n rou stuk werk.

ARTICLE 1: There is One Only God
We all believe with the heart, and confess with the mouth, that there is one only simple and spiritual Being which we call God; and that He is eternal, incomprehensible, invisible, immutable, infinite, almighty, perfectly wise, just, good, and the overflowing fountain of all good.
ARTICLE 8: God is One in Essence, yet Distinguished in Three Persons
According to this truth and this Word of God,
We believe in one only God, who is one single essence, [ARTICLE 1]
in which are three persons, really, truly, and eternally distinct, according to their incommunicable properties; namely, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
The Father is the cause, origin, and beginning of all things, visible and invisible;
the Son is the word, wisdom, and image of the Father;
the Holy Ghost is the eternal power and might, proceeding from the Father and the Son.
Nevertheless God is not by this distinction divided into three, since the Holy Scriptures teach us that the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost have each His personality, distinguished by their properties; but in such wise that these three persons are but one only God. 2.2 Logic demands three persons not one – the mystery is not illogical, but rather we say beyond the full grasp of our understanding

3 TERMS
3.1 Esse (Being) – the act of existing (Discuss verb “to be” and idea of being)
3.2 Essentia (Essence) – “Whatness” of the act of existing. What makes a thing that it is. For Peter or Paul it is humanity. For God it is deity or divinity
3.3 Substantia (Substance) – The underlying stuff (material or spiritual) of things that exist. Emphasis here is on concrete reality rather than on things that exist. This is distinct from Essentia which indicates simply what a thing is.
3.4 Subsistantia (Subsistance) – Indicating a particular being or existant; An individual instance of a given essence. In this latter sense, the Latin equivalent of Hypostasis and a more technically & philosophically adequate term than Persona for the persons of the Trinity.

5 Reading the Article
This article was developed on clear scriptural data. The scriptural data is limited but clear. The inferences from that data are clarifications not speculations. The doctrinal definition has positive statements based on the scriptures and negative statements from scripture and refuting error as it arose. The denomination of Trinity took hundreds of years. The full development of the doctrine took almost 2 millennia.
